One of our morning rituals is making a warm cup of matcha. We will slowly be sharing recipes with you. While matcha has become very trendy in the health and wellness space and can be found at most coffee shops- did you know that most prepared matcha at your local café contains more than 25g of added sugar? The reason being is that many coffee shops use sugar laden blends rather than ceremonial quality matcha that has no nasties. A stack of fluffy matcha pancakes 🍵🥞💚✨
Here's the recipe: 1️⃣ Mix 1 cup almond milk, 1 ripe banana, 1 egg & 1 tsp vanilla in a bowl2️⃣ Mix in another bowl 1 cup plain all purpose gluten free flour, 1.5 tsp baking powder, 1.5 tbsp coconut sugar, 1/4 tsp cinnamon, 1 tbsp Blissful Life Co matcha & a pinch of salt. Mix. Add dry and wet ingredients together. 3️⃣ Cook in a frypan on medium heat for 2-3 mins on one side, flip & another 2 mins on the other 4️⃣ (Optional) Serve with fresh fruit, coconut yogurt 💦, maple syrup, a dollop of matcha ice-cream (for double matcha) & dust with icing sugar + top with chocolate if you're feeling naughty 😙😉🍫🍫
